Phoned today and told it can take 5 business days to have the original payment released, hmmm. Why did they not just return $250 deposit. Something slightly off with how they do business.
Resort fee - This is not Vegas
The room, big spacious and comfy BUT the Musty Smell was Bad, had to request an air freshener, to try dampen the odors. SHAME what should have been a good weekend has now left a sour smell, bit like the room 2132.
The room itself was clean, comfortable, and a good size, which we appreciated.
Unfortunately, the customer service left a lot to be desired. When we arrived, the front desk agent seemed grumpy and gave the impression that he wanted to rush us through rather than provide a welcoming experience.
We also had an unpleasant interaction with security at the casino entrance. Although we are both 40 years old and had already provided our identification at check-in, the security guard was extremely rude when asking for our physical IDs, which we did not have on us at that exact moment. He would not accept digital copies on our phones and handled the situation in a very unfriendly manner.
Once we got to our room, the TV was not working. We called the front desk, and someone came to try to fix it but was unsuccessful. He told us maintenance would come shortly, so we waited for over an hour. After calling the front desk again, we were informed that maintenance does not work at night, meaning we had been given incorrect information and the issue was never properly reported. We were offered another room, but by that point we were already unpacked and settled.
Overall, the room itself was good, but the poor customer service and lack of communication made our stay disappointing.
Had a really solid stay here. The property is beautiful and the views are honestly spectacular. Well worth just walking around the grounds to take it all in. Our room was clean and the staff were great across the board.
We spent some time learning about the history of the building, which is pretty heavy but definitely worth looking into. We had breakfast at the hotel and dinner at the casino; both were great. Also had some fun messing around on the slots after dinner.
