Food is mediocre at best at the Mohave. Very over priced for what you get. Had the burger and it was soo dry I couldn't even choke it back. Terrible high chairs for baby's. Rooms where a little dated. The pool was very dirty wouldnt take my kids back. Lots of construction around the outside and inside of the hotel. Celling was leaking in the main lobby.

We booked the Deerfoot Inn & Casino to stay for a basketball tournament. Front staff were so friendly.
Douglas was excellent and very helpful when I was trying to book a conference room, and special dinner. The included breakfast was top notch, hot and lots of options, the Coffee was even good.

The rooms were great, updated comfy mattress and pillows. My only qualm was the bathroom lighting, a bit too cool for my liking.

I liked having the various pubs and restaurants available to go have some wind down time away from the kids.

The pool area looks much larger online. It is very loud and lots of children- but I mean really, its too be expected. The kids were obsessed with the pool and waterslide. They give it 10 stars.

I have had some good and some not so good experiences here. Rooms are basic, clean, nothing special. Pool is very nice but usually very busy as there are not many like that in the area. Towels are tiny for the pool bring your own. The restaurant is ok, for some reason the breakfast buffet didn't include the coffee, never had that happening before. Front desk people were very nice.

Here for the WSOP circuit event.
Great staff. Friendly and helpful.
24hr fitness center
Pool till midnight
Rooms have Dove soap, shampoo and conditioner, and a hair dryer
Multiple places to eat. Vegan options are limited but there are options.
Only disappointment is there's no safe in the rooms. They are available in the lobby but it's weird for a casino hotel

It was ok. The casino staff were non existent. The food was horribly overpriced. But other than that the rooms were clean and housekeeping you could tell was a high priority in this hotel as I seriously could not find a speck of dirt in my room. The food at the resteraunt was mediocre at best. The Chef didn't care as my garlic toast was rock hard on one side and perfect on the other.. My lasagna was cold in the middle. ( microwaved) and swimming in a cheesy milk and a huge glob of cheese under the warm milky cheese sauce. Not good at all. So yeah the rooms are great and the casino is ok..the food ....nope.

I attended a conference here last week and I was very impressed on a number of fronts.

First, the staff was super friendly, professional and hard working. The cleaning staff always greeted me with a hello and a smile. The staff managing the conference were on top of everything and eager to do a good job.

The rooms were satisfactory, no complaints! Comfortable beds and clean rooms. Perhaps adding a microwave to rooms, complimentary coffee in the lobby would be helpful.

How to Reach the Property

The main doors open directly onto the gaming floor, where slots, VLTs, and table pits are grouped by category. Floor hours run Sunday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 AM, with Friday and Saturday operating 24 hours. Provincial regulation requires entrants to be 18 years or older, so staff at the entrance verify a valid government-issued photo ID. Slot Attendants circulate the floor to assist with machine faults, ticket redemption, and payout questions.

Driving and Parking

Travel by private vehicle is the most direct route to the venue. The site supplies free self parking onsite, with a lot large enough to set the building back from Deerfoot Trail traffic. Out-of-town drivers reach Calgary Zoo, Heritage Park, and Fish Creek Park each within a 15-minute drive, and downtown Calgary about 20 minutes north. The lot also accommodates RVs for roughly CAD 20 per night during the Calgary Stampede. An electric vehicle charging station is available onsite.

Public Transit Options

Calgary Transit serves the location for visitors without a car. Riders take the CTrain to the South station, then walk roughly 10 minutes to the entrance, or use the connecting bus that stops directly outside the front doors. Travel by bus from downtown takes around 40 minutes. Taxis, ride-sharing services (such as Uber), and a nearby limo/town car service offer further options.

Accessing the Gaming Floor

The main floor spans 60,000 square feet and holds more than 785 slot machines plus 32 VLTs, with bets starting at one cent. To begin, guests enter from the main lobby, locate the Slot Cashier, and find the VLT Lounge positioned beside it. The Table Games Pit opens Monday to Friday at 12 PM and on weekends at 11 AM, running until 3 AM, with 32 live-action tables.

The table selection groups several formats for new and returning players:

  • Blackjack and Free Bet Blackjack
  • Double Down Madness
  • Roulette
  • Ultimate Texas Hold’em
  • EZ Baccarat and Ruyi Baccarat
  • Craps

High-limit players proceed to the Fortune Room, which contains 53 high-limit slot machines alongside high-limit blackjack, poker, and baccarat tables. This room opens at 12 PM Monday through Friday and 11 AM on weekends, and guests may arrange a Casino Host for personalised service.

Reserving a Spot in the Poker Room

The renovated poker room runs on a reservation basis, so walk-in seating during peak hours is not assured. The venue supplies tables, chips, and dealers, while players bring their own group. To secure a place or book the room for a private function, callers dial (403) 723-4039 or send an email, request current rates and table availability, then confirm a date on the schedule. Two daily tournaments start at 10:20 AM and 6:30 PM, and Bad Beat progressive jackpots run on both No Limit Hold’em and Quad 8’s Omaha. The property periodically hosts major poker tournament series, including WSOP Circuit events when scheduled.
