Games are too much all the same, the staff are the best. Food was really good. Reasonably priced.
One of the nicest golf simulators I've played. My second time here today. Hundreds of courses to choose from. Plenty of clubs to use if you don't have your own or you may also bring your own to use. Security will check them as you enter. Check-in is at the casino restaurant. There is a nice lounge area with complementary tea, coffee, and soft drinks. $35/hr is very reasonable for a sim. I recommend one hour per golfer to complete 18 holes comfortably.
Food is above and beyond once again! Always something great to try on the menu like the wings and potato skins! Great service and music entertainment with “Wills Addiction” and friends in attendance! The staff really tries to make your experience the very best it can be! Such a great St Patrick’s Day experience !!!

Quite possibly the best nachos in all of Canada. They dont just pile on the tortillas and then dump the cheese and toppings over top… they actually do a good job layer tortillas, cheese (shredded and melted queso), toppings, and then another layer of each. The only thing to critique is that we added on chicken at $4.99 and it certainly was not $5 worth of chicken there.

Accessing the Slot Floor

Slot machines occupy the largest share of the floor, totalling 301 units split between 119 reel cabinets and 182 video formats. Accepted denominations run from $0.01 (penny) through $0.02, $0.10, $0.25, $1, $5, and up to $25 CAD. Progressive titles with prize giveaways run alongside periodic slot tournaments. To begin, a player inserts cash or a printed ticket, selects the denomination, sets the line count and bet level, then presses spin. Slot access follows the casino’s general operating hours.

Playing Table Games and the Poker Room

Live tables sit in a dedicated section dealt by trained staff, who also run a free instructional table for newcomers. Available formats include:

  • Blackjack (five tables)
  • Blackjack Switch (one table)
  • Let It Ride (one table)
  • Roulette
  • 3 Card Poker and Texas Hold’em Bonus Poker
  • No-Limit Texas Hold’em in the separate poker room

Players new to live action should request a seat at the instructional table before joining a rated game. Minimum and maximum limits are posted at each layout, so checking the placard before sitting prevents wagering above the intended amount.

Joining a Poker Game

The poker room holds up to four No-Limit Texas Hold’em tables, with weekend action on Friday and Saturday. Cash games run 1/2 blinds with a buy-in from $40 to $200, and a bad beat jackpot pays qualifying losing hands. To secure a seat, call about two hours ahead on (902) 563-7777; on arrival, check in with floor staff and post the blinds when reaching the table.

Table Game Schedule and Limits

Table games run Wednesday through Sunday, from 5 PM to 2 AM, and close on Mondays and Tuesdays. Bets must fall within the displayed limits, and all transactions settle in Canadian dollars. To buy chips, a guest places cash on the layout (not into the dealer’s hand) and waits for the count.

Enrolling in the Player's Club

Membership is optional for entry but recommended for regular play at the Sydney or Halifax locations. To enrol, a visitor presents photo ID at the desk, completes a short form, and receives a Player’s Card usable at both Nova Scotia properties. Points accrue on electronic and table play, then convert into casino cash, complimentary meals, free play, merchandise, hotel stays, or entertainment tickets. Accumulated points also set the tier, summarised below.

All tiers receive $9.99 daily buffets, free gift offers, and weekly member-only specials, while Club Prive holders access the VIP Crown Lounge in Halifax.

Handling Payments and Withdrawals

All wagering and dining transactions complete in Canadian dollars (CAD). Cash is accepted at the floor and the cage, while credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard) process through GLI-approved terminals for purchases and cash advances. Electronic games are certified for fairness by independent laboratories (GLI, iTech Labs), which verify the Random Number Generator (RNG) output. To collect winnings, players take tickets or chips to the cashier, or arrange an Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) to a bank account, subject to processing times and possible fees. The venue runs no remote accounts; all play is on-premises.

Visitor Ratings and Practical Notes

Feedback places the venue at 3.5 out of 5 on TripAdvisor (42 reviews) and 3.9 out of 5 on Google (500+ reviews), with praise for staff, food, and slot selection, alongside notes on its compact size and peak-hour crowding. For practical visits, players should arrive with photo ID, confirm table-game days (Wednesday–Sunday), and call ahead for poker seating. The combination of 301 slots, a structured poker room, a dual-location Player’s Card, and walk-to-hotel packages makes the property a functional stop on Cape Breton Island.
