I do not know how this Casino stays open. I would never go back. It has the lowest payouts. If and when you win a bonus. Machines that never have the feature pop. My Wife and I gave up and walked around and a lot of people were complaining. Not one hand payout in 2 and a half hours.

Had a good time in Kamloops playing the slots last weekend. The facility has a large selection of games, and although it was busy, it was not hard to find a machine to play. The atmosphere was fun and lively! We witnessed 4 people win $1000 or more around us, which was awesome! My only complaint was that security seemed a bit lax... a ton of drunk people falling all over, yelling and being disruptive, and a woman at the slot machine next to me was openly snorting cocaine, then put her fingers in her mouth and continued to use the same fingers to play the slot machine 🙁 Gross!
We'll visit again, but it would be nice if security was a bit more "on it." Overall, we had a fun time!

Group reserved seating for 12 in Match eatery - the manager claimed that they requested that the person who made the reservation to call them to confirm - which she did immediately. When we arrived on the day and time of the reservation- we were told by the manager Kyle F. that the person did not confirm the reservation and that they had no room for us. No attempt to even try and resolve the issue. Just a sorry we can't accommodate you.

Great restaurant. Great selection of slots. Live blackjack And poker dealers.
Also a little pub inside the casino besides the nice restaurant that's a part of the casino.
It's a little lounge area where you can play Keno all that kind of fun stuff.

Lots of parking.

Feb 7th me and my boyfriend drove up from the island for something to do and came here to this casino around 7pm.

** Please read to the very end to understand the situation **

I had my boyfriend carry my cash for me ($100 total in 20’s) because I didn’t bring my purse since it’s annoying to carry around the whole casino since it’s a big purse. Anyhow, I was playing slots while he was at the blackjack table and I walked over to him so I can grab my last $20 from him so I can finish with my slots and the girl with the brown short hair, glasses and a bit on the heavier side says “you can’t give money to anyone , even if you’re family or friends” and I had to give MY money back in front of everyone at the table. They weren’t even in the middle of a game either. I waited until they were finished.

I have never heard of this rule before and I’ve had my boyfriend carry my money for me in casinos plenty of times while handing me a $20 whenever I needed it and no one has ever said anything to us about it. When I google it, it says if it’s UNDER $10k (can’t be over due to money laundering) it’s fine. $20 is crazy. Idk if she’s new or what because she didn’t even know how to shuffle the cards but it was MY money and it was a $20 bill. I don’t even see anything in your rules saying you can’t give someone a $20 bill (it was my money anyways) like what??. We left after this because it pissed us both off. I wasn’t even playing blackjack, I was going to play slots and she knew this because I walked away with the $20 before I got called back saying I had to give it back. Not mad at you as the owner, but mad at that girl.

I also googled asking if someone was allowed to hand another person money when the person on the receiving end isn’t playing a game at your casino and it said you were allowed.

How to Reach the Casino in British Columbia

The property sits near the junction of the Trans-Canada Highway and Hugh Allan Drive, which makes road access the most direct option for travellers arriving from Calgary or the Lower Mainland.

Shuttle Service

A free casino shuttle services two pickup points across Kamloops, allowing guests staying nearby to arrive without a personal vehicle. To confirm pickup times, callers should phone the main line before planning the trip. The Holiday Inn Express on Versatile Drive and the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott sit close by for visitors needing overnight accommodation.

Driving and Parking

Drivers exit the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 1) toward Hugh Allan Drive, then proceed to the two-lane roundabout at Versatile Drive, where the McDonald’s restaurant serves as a clear landmark. The property supplies approximately 400 parking stalls plus complimentary valet service at the main entrance. Guests who prefer not to drive can use the bus, which stops at the 1555 Versatile Drive location, leaving a short walk to the doors.

Slots and How to Play Them

The slot area at Cascades Casino Kamloops includes machines spanning penny denominations through $5 spins, so players set a budget by selecting a cabinet that matches the preferred stake. To begin, a guest inserts cash or a TITO (ticket-in, ticket-out) voucher, taps the bet level and line count on the touchscreen, then presses spin; cash-out prints a redeemable ticket.

The following titles are kept on the floor:

  • Cleopatra and Buffalo Gold Revolution (line-based video reels)
  • Wicked Winnings and Dancing Drums (multiway formats)
  • Tailgate Party and Lock it Link (feature-trigger games)
  • Bonus Times, Phone Tag, Rich Girl, and Majestic Sea (mixed reel styles)

Players should insert their Encore Rewards card before the first spin so every wager accrues points toward tier benefits.

B.C. Gold Progressive Jackpots

B.C. Gold is a bank of 2¢ machines carrying four mystery progressive levels that pay randomly without a specific winning combination. The Gold tier (province-wide) awards between $100,000 and $200,000, while Silver (also province-wide) returns $500 to $1,500. Two site-level pools operate on-property: Nickel pays up to $50 and Copper pays up to $25, both reserved for local players.

Table Games and Access Hours

Live table action runs Wednesday through Sunday from 5:00 PM until close, so guests planning a card session should arrive in the evening rather than the morning. Each table posts minimum and maximum limits on a placard; players buy in by placing cash on the felt (dealers do not accept hand-to-hand cash) and receive chips in exchange.
Game Format Typical Availability
Blackjack Standard shoe Wed–Sun from 5:00 PM
Double Deck Blackjack Two-deck hand-dealt Wed–Sun from 5:00 PM
EZ Baccarat Commission-free baccarat Wed–Sun from 5:00 PM
Roulette Single-zero wheel Wed–Sun from 5:00 PM
Four Card Poker Player-vs-dealer Wed–Sun from 5:00 PM
Ultimate Texas Hold’em Player-vs-dealer Wed–Sun from 5:00 PM
Fast Action Hold’em Community-card variant Wed–Sun from 5:00 PM

Featured Card Games

Ultimate Texas Hold’em and Mississippi Stud are player-versus-dealer formats where the guest places an Ante and Blind, then chooses to check or raise as community cards appear. Newcomers should review the posted pay tables before sitting, as each side bet (for example, the Trips bonus) carries its own payout schedule.

Poker Room and the Bad Beat Jackpot

The poker room sits on the main floor and offers the only no-limit games in Kamloops, with televised sporting events on surrounding screens. The room operates Thursday through Saturday from 6:00 PM; to secure a seat, players phone 250-318-4810 after 10:00 AM to join the waitlist.

A Bad Beat Jackpot worth up to $500,000 applies when Four-of-a-Kind of 8s (or higher) is beaten by Four-of-a-Kind or better, with both hole cards in play. The pool is distributed as follows:

  • 50% to the losing qualifying hand
  • 25% to the winning qualifying hand
  • 25% divided among the remaining active players at the table

To qualify, a player whose Four-of-a-Kind is defeated must use two of the four matching cards from the two-card private hand, so confirmed seating before the deal matters for eligibility.

Encore Rewards and How to Register

Encore Rewards is the free loyalty program shared across Gateway Casinos and Community Gaming Centres in British Columbia. To enrol, a visitor presents government identification at the Encore desk, completes a short form, and receives a card the same day; points then accumulate on both gaming and dining spend.

Membership Tiers

Members climb through four levels (Diamond, Double Diamond, Triple Diamond, and Elite) as tracked play increases. Higher tiers unlock birthday offers, event invitations, bonus points, and dining discounts that apply at select eateries on-site.
Tier Entry Basis Sample Benefits
Diamond Standard enrolment Point earning, dining discounts
Double Diamond Increased play Promotions, bonus points
Triple Diamond Higher play volume Event invitations, enhanced offers
Elite Top-tier play Maximum incentives across Gateway sites

Dining Options On-Site

Three food venues operate within the complex, letting guests combine gaming with a full meal without leaving the building. The choices group as follows:

  • Match Eatery & Public House: a pub-and-sports format with multiple screens, a year-round covered terrace, and event space seating 20 to 200 guests
  • Atlas Steak + Fish: a reservation-recommended steakhouse open Tuesday to Sunday from 4:30 PM, focused on local beef and seafood with a full beverage program
  • The Buffet: a 120-seat room featuring rotating daily themes, weekend brunch, and a weekday Encore breakfast service

Encore cardholders receive discounts at participating outlets, so members should present the card when ordering to apply available pricing.

Responsible Gaming and Visitor Tips

An on-site GameSense Information Centre supplies details on play limits, addiction risks, support contacts, and the self-exclusion process for guests who request it. Staff are trained to identify signs of problem gambling and to direct visitors to these resources. The casino expects smart-casual attire and refuses entry to intoxicated guests, with security checks for prohibited items. Weekday mornings suit slot players, while evenings after 5:00 PM suit table and poker participants at Cascades Casino Kamloops.
