We went to Pure Casino on Tuesday night and had a very bad experience at the entrance. There was a slim female security staff member who was talking on her phone. I was holding my ID in my hand, but without saying anything or asking properly, she rudely grabbed it from my hand.

Her attitude was extremely unprofessional. Her facial expressions were rude and intimidating, which made us feel uncomfortable.

I reported this to the manager, but even after that, she was laughing like nothing happened. That made the situation even worse.

Very disappointing customer service. This was the worst security experience I’ve ever had.

I had the pleasure of visiting Pure Casino Edmonton for the first time, and I have to say that Jenna, Savanna, and Lea made my experience unforgettable! From the moment I arrived, they made me feel incredibly comfortable and welcomed. As a first-timer, I wasn’t sure where to start, but they were like friends guiding me through the whole experience—suggesting great games and making sure my drinks were on point.

Their friendly attitude and genuine care for their guests really stood out. It’s rare to find such wonderful service, and I truly appreciate their kindness. If you’re ever at the casino, make sure to stop by the bar and say hello to these amazing bartenders!

Had an amazing time at Pure Casino! The staff were friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was lively, and the games were exciting. Definitely a great place for a fun night out. Highly recommend!
Not cheapeats for sure. Steak was so thin. Whatever you see in pictures costed $50+ burger patties are double but texture was bad. Charged me $1 for gravy and $2 for upgrade to poutine. Isn't gravy part of poutine already?

How to Reach the Venue

Address and Driving Directions

The casino sits directly on Argyll Road, so navigation through any map application stays straightforward. Drivers approaching from central Edmonton follow Argyll Road southeast toward the 76 Avenue NW junction. A secure parkade serves the property at no charge to visitors.

Public Transit and Parking

The nearest bus stop, 75 Street & 83 Avenue, sits roughly a 20-minute walk from the entrance. The LRT also drops riders within a short distance of the complex. For those driving, free covered parking removes any need for paid lots such as The Truck Park (about 20 minutes north on foot).

Entry Requirements and Hours

The venue applies fixed entry conditions that visitors should confirm before arrival. The floor stays open continuously, though individual gaming areas follow their own schedules. The points below outline the core rules and operating times.

  • Minimum age: 18 years, with government-issued photo ID required on request.
  • Dress code: smart or casual attire (no bare feet or shirtless entry).
  • Slots and poker room: open 24 hours, seven days a week.
  • Live table games: available 10:00 AM to 3:00 AM daily.
  • Video lottery terminals (VLTs): operational 9:00 AM to 4:00 AM.

Visitors arriving outside table-game hours can still access electronic table games, which run around the clock. Carrying valid identification at all times prevents delays at the door or the cash cage.

Slot Machines and Progressive Jackpots

The floor holds more than 850 slot machines alongside 18 video lottery terminals. Machines accept penny, quarter, and Loonie ($1) denominations, covering a spread of budgets. Players insert cash or a ticket, set line and bet values on the touchscreen, then press spin or use the physical buttons.

Denominations and Jackpot Tiers

Regional progressives are a primary draw, with several jackpots tracked live on the floor displays. The table below lists the headline progressive figures recorded at the venue.

Table Games and How to Play

The casino runs up to 30 live-action tables, supported by electronic multi-game stations for solo play. Each table posts its minimum and maximum wager on a placard, and players buy chips directly from the dealer with cash.

Blackjack and Free Bet Blackjack

Standard blackjack requires beating the dealer’s total without exceeding 21, with the dealer standing on hard 17. Free Bet Blackjack lets participants split pairs (except 10-value cards) and double hard 9, 10, or 11 without staking extra funds, marked by a dealer lammer. Optional side bets include Lucky Lucky (first two player cards plus the dealer up-card) and Push 22, which pushes remaining wagers when the dealer busts on 22.

Baccarat, Roulette, and Poker Variants

The venue deals EZ Baccarat, where the Bank pays no commission except on a three-card winning total of seven, and adds Panda and Dragon side wagers. Roulette uses the American double-zero wheel with full inside and outside betting layouts. Casino poker formats are dealt at dedicated tables:

  • Four-Card Poker: form the strongest four-card hand from five dealt cards against the dealer.
  • DJ Wild Stud Poker: build a five-card hand where the joker and all twos act as wild cards.
  • Face Up Pai Gow Poker: split seven face-up cards into a five-card high hand and a two-card low hand.

Players signal hits, stands, and raises through standard hand gestures, which the surveillance system records for game integrity. Side bets at most tables require a separate marked wager placed before the deal.

The 24-Hour Poker Room

A separate entrance leads to the 12-table poker room, open every hour of every day. Staff spread limit, no-limit, and tournament formats across Texas Hold’em, Omaha, and Seven Card Stud. Stakes begin low (such as 1/3 No-Limit Hold’em) and scale upward for experienced players. The room awards Pure Poker Points and contributes to uncapped progressive jackpots. Seasonal series, including stops on the Pure Poker Tour, schedule events such as a $1,100 Main Event across multi-day flights.

Pure Rewards Program

The Pure Rewards Winners Edge card converts tracked play into redeemable credit across slots and tables. Enrollment is free, carries no renewal requirement, and takes only a short stop at Guest Services. The steps and benefits below summarize how members accumulate and spend value.

  • Step 1: Visit Guest Services and present government-issued ID.
  • Step 2: Receive the Winners Edge card, then insert it into any slot or hand it to a table dealer.
  • Step 3: Earn points on tracked play; every 1,000 points equals $1 in free-play credit.
  • Step 4: Redeem points for free play, dining, or merchandise at the kiosk or cash cage.

Members also receive a 10% dining discount (alcohol excluded), entries into daily, weekly, and monthly draws, and invitations to limited promotions such as Edmonton Oilers jersey giveaways.
