We just moved from out of province, arrived late last night. After sleeping we wanted to explore. Came upon this place where we decided to relax. The staff are incredible, awesome customer service. We enjoyed ourselves after a very long stressful while.
Anyone looking to have fun and relax this place is awesome.
Thanks everyone

Horrible machines. Set to the tightest possible, I’ve lost my savings account thanks to this place. I’m not the one with the problem……… the machines are extremely tight, when things used to pay at a certain time they take longer to get the reward now.

Also thanks for removing a bunch of machines that people actually enjoyed and let people play. All these machines take $300 just to get a bonus, thanks for the $5 back. It’s your loss, I won’t play here again EVER!

I’ll go to 12 tribes over the border, or actually I’ll wait for West Kelowna to get their casino in a few years, worth the wait rather than this place. If i was allowed to swear about Penticton casino on this review i totally would.

Staff members really have no respect for anyone, they truly don’t care, also shouldn’t take 25 min to wait for a reserve so I can go to the bathroom. Only 1 slot attendant on the casino floor…..wow what does that tell you, obviously no machines to be paying out. I feel bad for the winter months as no tourists will be in town, only the locals will be supporting this casino & the word has gotten around this is the worst casino ever, why would people play here if you won’t let anyone have any fun. Shouldn’t take $300 to get a bonus.

Also please don’t respond to this review with all machines have a random number generator. I’m tired of hearing the same preset lines you have ready to write/reply that BCLC provides you to respond to reviews like mine. Just don’t waste your time to respond about the so called random number generator…… This casino removed them in all machines, and totally are set to take with no return of a certain percent which casinos are legally required to give back a certain percent……however this place is being under the table illegal & they are getting away with

I have reported this casino & will be contacting the MLA.

Cascades Casino in Penticton is a great place for a fun night out! The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. It’s a great spot to relax, have a few laughs, and enjoy some entertainment. The drink prices are a little on the higher side, but overall it’s a solid experience and a fun place to spend an evening.
This casino offers an unbeatable atmosphere that keeps me coming back. The energy is always vibrant, and the people, both staff and guests are some of the friendliest you'll meet. Every visit is a great time, without fail.

The food is fantastic, the service is quick, and the selection of games is massive. Whether you're into slot machines or table games, there's no shortage of options to keep you entertained.

I give Cascade Casino a solid 5 out of 5 stars. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fun, welcoming, and lively place to unwind!

How to Access the Gaming Floor

The floor carries over 400 slot machines plus a set of live table games. To start play, a visitor exchanges cash for a slot ticket or purchases chips directly from a dealer. Foreign currency is converted at the cashier desk before play begins (the system is coinless and uses ticket-in/ticket-out technology).

Slot Machines

Slot denominations span 1¢ to $1 per pay-line wager. Titles in rotation include Lock it Link Huff n Puff, Buffalo Grand and Gold, 88 Fortunes, Power Bucks, and Prosperity Link. Each cabinet shows a “More Info” panel covering pay-lines and rules; pressing the “Service” button calls a Slot Attendant. The high-limit area runs the Dollar Dreams Progressive, linked across nine $1 machines and guaranteed to pay before the meter reaches $15,000. Province-wide B.C. Gold progressives operate on 2¢ machines across four tiers (Gold, Silver, Nickel, Copper).

Table Games

Live tables include Kings Bounty Blackjack, Ultimate Texas Hold’em, Fast Action Hold’em, and Roulette. Table operation runs Wednesday through Saturday from 4:30 PM until late, and Sunday from 2 PM to 10 PM. Poker opens Friday through Sunday, with a Bad Beat Jackpot capped at $500,000. Players register in person at Guest Services or by calling the Poker Phone at 250-462-4304 from 11 AM. For registered players, table check-in begins 30 minutes before the table opens.

How to Join Encore Rewards in British Columbia

Encore Rewards is the free loyalty program applied across Gateway venues throughout British Columbia. Members accrue points on slot and electronic-table play, which convert into free play, dining reductions, and accommodation offers.

To enroll, a visitor completes these steps:

  • Proceed to the Guest Services desk near the main entrance.
  • Present valid government-issued photo identification confirming legal age.
  • Receive the Encore Rewards card at no charge.
  • Insert the card into the machine’s reader and keep it seated during play to register points.

Points accumulate at a published rate where every 1,000 points equals $5 in free play. The structure advances from Basic through Diamond levels (one, two, or three diamonds) up to Elite, with each step adding further benefits. The card does not earn points during poker cash games or tournaments.

Dining at Match Eatery & Public House

Match Eatery & Public House pairs a neighbourhood pub setting with a sports-bar layout across two floors. The venue features a rooftop patio, more than 20 large-screen televisions, plus complimentary pool and shuffleboard on the main floor. Live music runs every Friday and Saturday evening, and the second floor includes an outdoor bocce court.

Happy Hour runs daily and offers shareable plates at a fixed price ($6.95), half-price wine, 16 oz craft beer at a reduced rate, and 1 oz highballs. Daily Features rotate through the week and include pasta nights and signature pairings. Hot Rockin’ Bingo takes place each Tuesday from 7 PM, stays family-friendly until 10 PM, and reservations are advised.

Promotions and Events

Cascades Casino Penticton schedules recurring promotions that members access by swiping the Encore Rewards card at participating machines.

Current and recurring offers include:

  • Winning Reels is a recurring promotional draw.
  • Hot Rockin’ Bingo, held every Tuesday evening at Match Eatery.
  • Local Heroes, providing 25% off food for first responders, hospital staff, veterans, teachers, and physicians.
  • Seasonal and holiday draws posted on the casino calendar.

To claim a draw entry, a member inserts the Encore card before play and watches the announced draw times displayed on the gaming floor. Draws are held on selected promotional dates.

Summit Bar Service

The Summit Bar sits in the centre of the floor and serves snacks and drinks between games. It carries both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options and screens sporting events on multiple displays.

Summit Bar Hours

Food and soft drinks are available Sunday through Thursday from 9 AM to 2 AM, and Friday and Saturday from 9 AM to 3 AM. Alcohol service follows the liquor licence, running daily from 10 AM to 2 AM. The bar provides a quick option for patrons who remain near the slot banks.

Understanding Slot Odds and House Advantage

Each machine holds a random number generator (RNG) producing thousands of values per second; the value locked at the instant of activation sets the result. Outcomes remain independent, so prior spins do not influence later ones. A typical slot house advantage averages 8% (a 92% return to player), which sits above the edge carried by several table games. Players should review the pay table and cost per play before wagering.

The facility is accessible for guests with disabilities, and wheelchairs and accessible formats are available on request. Visitors planning weekend trips should reserve a Match table in advance.

Plan Your Visit to Cascades Casino Penticton

A short checklist keeps the arrival process efficient and avoids delays at the entrance.

Practical steps before a visit:

  • Carry valid photo identification for entry and Encore Rewards enrollment.
  • Select a weekday for lighter traffic, since Friday and Saturday peak between 7 PM and midnight.
  • Bring Canadian currency or convert funds at the cashier desk.
  • Confirm table-game and poker hours, which differ from the slot-floor schedule.

Following these steps lets visitors move from the door to the gaming floor quickly, register for points on the first play, and align dining or bingo reservations with the venue hours across British Columbia.
