I visited from Montreal during the Christmas holidays and was looking forward to a great dining experience at Banco Resto Casino Lac-Leamy. Unfortunately, the service was quite a letdown.
We had to wait 20 minutes just for our salads to arrive. To make matters worse, the main course was poorly handled; they served the steak without asking how I wanted it cooked or offering any condiments/sides.
Coming from Montreal, I am used to the high standard of service at the Casino de Montréal restaurants. The service here at Lac-Leamy felt disorganized and far below that benchmark. The food itself was fine, but the lack of attention from the staff really dampened the holiday mood. I expected much better for the price and the brand.
Went on a Saturday evening. Loved the water fountains outside. Loved the DJ with people just dancing and having a good time. Usually I find casinos are filled with older people, but this one although had a lot of older people, there were still some fairly younger people which I don’t see often.
Also loved the self-serve drink station instead of having to wait for someone to come by with the free drinks.
Nice atmosphere, would go again!
