Very few people, lots of parking. The slots here never pay anything whatsoever. It's a waste of time and money thinking you'll ever break even. 2nd worse casino ever behind Duncan
Amazing....change your lives over a spin. !!!

Update on Sat. Oct 5th.: Visited on a recent promo. for Pacific seafood buffet. Priced $19.99 all-you-can-eat. Receive between 10% to 50% depending on membership benefits. Steamed haddock fish, grilled pi k salmon, steamed mussels, steamed clams, mashed potato, garden salad, dessert tray & coffee/ tea + pop. Quantity allyoucaneat, taste quality so so, value for money not justifable.
Previous: On a Wednessay tried the pasta buffet for only $6.99. Wide spread of carbs. Protien part were only meat balls & fried chicken. Usual salads, soups, desserts as the other buffet. No line ups were experienced today. Hall occupancy was about 80% full.
Please disregard below comments as they are now not reflected as being current. Thx.
Friday / Saturday lobster & prime rib promotions @ $9.99 Encore member price or pay regular @ $29.99 at "The Well" public house. This is the bang for your buck value meal can't get any better. Downside lineup waiting time is in excess of 2 hours but worth the wait as lobster tails with a thickcut steak and gravy was super delicious makes it up.
Btw patient guest arrive as early as 2 pm to start the queue line prior opening so stop complaining. Btw they now introduce group entry limit to max. of 8 person to stop abuse by some patrons.
Upside after dinner some guest may profit slightly over $100 or more on the one arm bandit. Guest whining over waits but I feel it's o.k. if money in pocket either playing on roulette, blackjack or even the slot machines.
Thurs is Southern BBQ buffet @ $9.99 Encore price or else pay $17.99.
On Fri. & Sat. 5-10 pm the buffet is All You Can Eat rib & lobster tails. In short I call this a glutton meal just watch calorie intake or else do the burn for weight control. A kind reminder don't forget to generously leave a tip at the cashiers till

I tried it and it was as bland as the title suggests. It's just a cheap marketing gimmick. Compared to casinos in Vancouver, it's probably far inferior in every aspect. There are too few games for players to have a perfect choice, most of the players here are retirees, and the service is terrible. If things don't improve soon, I think this casino should close down to spare real players from further frustration.

All you can eat taco Wednesday- hands down the worst tacos I've had in my life. Couldn't eat half of the taco shell it was so hard from sitting out hours- server was lovely tho.
Ordering off the menu last time was amazing food. Very disappointed

Just had the most disappointing dining experience of my life at the restaurant. Do not bother with all you can eat taco Wednesday. The tacos were tasty but not worth the misery and the hours of my life wasted. You'd be better off going across the street to Burger King, you wouldn't have to wait over an hour to get in, a half hour of being ignored by the waitstaff, and then another hour or so to get food. They need to seriously shape up and get their act together, or they need to discontinue this promotion as that clearly can't handle it.

On March 26th a group of four of us went to Elements Casino in View Royal to watch an ABBA tribute show and enjoy the buffet dinner before the show. The Casino's ad stated in paragraph 2 "Enjoy an unforgettable evening featuring a Roast Beef Carvery Buffet, with baked Maple Chili Salmon, Linguine with Pesto sauce and many other favorites." The casino's facebook page had roughly the same info. The buffet featured a couple of salads, mixed vegetables, bread, pasta in alfredo sauce, meatballs swimming in a tomato sauce and chicken patties in tomato sauce. Not as advertised and the food was awful. I'm sure that there will be many reviews on various platforms stating the same. Someone, perhaps a manager from the casino, should have stood up and explained to the paying customers (100+?) how what they were providing could even remotely be considered okay. There were no answers to be found with the staff that was on hand. The bar lineup was long and slow with only one bartender. The show itself was quite entertaining for the 45 - 50 minutes that they were stage. The show started just after 7pm and by 8pm the show was over so we grabbed an Uber and headed to a pub. Is this a new ownership issue? The Elton John and Billy Joel tribute that we went to in February was exactly as advertised and we had a great evening. As for this latest experience, the ad stated it would be unforgettable, and it truly was.

How to Reach the Venue

The venue is reachable by private vehicle, regional transit, and a complimentary hotel shuttle. Visitors should select a route based on their starting point within Greater Victoria.

By Public Transit and Shuttle

BC Transit route number 50 connects downtown Victoria to the area in about 30 minutes. The property also runs a free shuttle from select downtown Victoria hotels and central pickup points; current timetables are posted on the official website. Guests should confirm the daily shuttle schedule before departure, since stops and frequency vary by season.

By Car

From central Victoria, the drive is roughly 10 minutes along the Trans-Canada Highway 1, with clear signage toward View Royal. Travellers arriving at Victoria International Airport should allow approximately 50 minutes southbound. On arrival, drivers can use any of the 500-plus free surface spaces without pre-booking.

Accessing the Gaming Floor

The gaming floor combines reel-based and electronic play with live dealer tables and poker. To begin, guests follow a short, in-person setup sequence at the entrance and cashier.

  • Present valid government-issued ID at the entrance (mandatory for the 19+ floor).
  • Exchange cash for chips at any table, or load funds onto slot machines through the bill acceptors.
  • Add your name to the poker list at the podium, as seating is managed in person.
  • Use the complimentary coffee, tea, and soft-drink stations positioned across the floor.

All registration for loyalty tracking and poker seating is handled physically at the venue, because no online account creation or mobile wagering is offered in British Columbia. Cash-outs are processed in Canadian dollars (CAD) at the cashier desk.

Table Games and Poker

There are 14 live table games, including Blackjack, Roulette, 4 Card Poker, and Texas Shootout, alongside 15 electronic table terminals for lower-minimum play. Live poker is offered with seating coordinated through the in-person list. Minimum bets and open tables vary by day and time, so guests should check posted limits at each pit before buying in.

Slot Machines

The floor holds more than 750 multi-denomination slot machines, with progressive jackpots reaching up to C$200,000. Titles are supplied by established manufacturers such as IGT, Aristocrat, and Scientific Games. Players insert bills, set the line and bet level using the on-screen panel, and collect winnings as a printed voucher (TITO) for redemption at the cashier or a ticket kiosk.

How to Join Encore Rewards

Membership in the Encore Rewards program at Great Canadian Casino View Royal is free and arranged at the Guest Services desk with photo ID. The program operates across three tiers, with point accumulation driven by tracked slot and table play. Once enrolled, members insert their card into slot machines or present it to dealers so play registers toward points and promotional offers. Status and accrued points can be reviewed at Guest Services or through the mobile-optimised website.
Membership Level Entry Requirement Representative Perks
Base Free sign-up at Guest Services Points on slot and table play, promotional mailers
Mid Accumulated point threshold Priority access, dining offers
Premium Highest tracked play volume Event invitations, enhanced point multipliers

Dining and Live Entertainment

The property pairs casual dining with a multi-purpose events space and scheduled live performances. The Well Public House anchors the food offering, while the on-site venue hosts local and regional acts.

The Well Public House

The Well serves pub fare from breakfast through late-night hours and operates a full bar. Live entertainment runs on Saturday nights, featuring local artists and bands.

  • Breakfast service from late morning, followed by lunch and dinner menus.
  • Casual pub fare, including sandwiches, salads, and shareable plates.
  • Live music on Saturday nights from local performers.
  • Full bar service continuing past kitchen close, until 1:30 AM.

Guests can seat themselves during quieter periods or request table service from floor staff during peak evening hours.

Booking the Platinum Room for Events

The Platinum Room is the dedicated function space, configured for gatherings of 20 to 500 guests. It suits galas, wedding receptions, corporate conferences, trade shows, and networking sessions. To reserve, organisers contact the group bookings team through Guest Services or the website, then confirm date, headcount, and catering. Booking ahead is advised for weekend dates, which fill earliest.

Responsible Gaming Tools and How to Use Them

The venue applies BCLC’s responsible gaming framework, with tools available directly on the floor and at Guest Services. Players who wish to set boundaries can act on them before or during a visit.
  • GameSense advisors and printed information on odds and play limits.
  • Voluntary self-exclusion enrolment processed through BCLC.
  • Pre-set time and spend reminders linked to registered play.
  • Provincial support contacts displayed at Guest Services.
To begin, a guest speaks with a GameSense representative or requests the self-exclusion form at Guest Services, which is submitted to BCLC for processing. These measures sit alongside the standard 19+ entry check, supporting controlled play within the regulated environment.

Casino floor 9 AM – 2 AM 9 AM – 4 AM

Guests load slot credits using cash bill acceptors and settle table buy-ins with cash exchanged for chips at the pit. Winnings are redeemed at the cashier, where printed slot vouchers and table chips are converted back to CAD. Because no online or mobile wagering account is available, every funding and cash-out step takes place on-site during operating hours.
